Uvs Food Co., Ltd. established the NGO "Uvs Province Sea Buckthorn Producers Union" through the union of Uvs Province sea buckthorn growing enterprises. Since the establishment of the association, it has been exploring ways to empower sea buckthorn-producing enterprises and citizens and export them to the international market. In 2016, with the support of the Uvs Sea buckthorn Geographical Indications Department of Intellectual Property, the Uvs Sea buckthorn Geographical Indications Association, and the French Embassy, the process of registering it in the European Union was started.

From 2019, the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Uvs Sea buckthorn Producers’ Association, and the SEQUA Project Team of the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry will continue work together” and “Product type protected by geographical indication” has been officially registered.

The geographical indication "Uvs sea buckthorn" is the first geographical indication registered by Mongolia in the European Union. Obtaining the intellectual property patent, which is granted after confirming the origin of the product, how it is affected by the geographical location, and reputation and quality, will create an advantage in selling Uvs sea buckthorn and products made from it at a high price in EU countries.

In the fourth quarter of 2022, Uvs Food Co., Ltd. has successfully introduced Smart ERP - a comprehensive business organization system with the financing of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

This system consists of comprehensive financial software, comprehensive store software, sales distribution system, timekeeping system, human resource system, and management reporting system.

With the introduction of the system, the internal operations of the organization become easier, and it becomes possible to deliver innovative sales and distribution services to customers and clients.
