In the time of global warming, aridity and desertification having rapidly occurred in the country of Mongolia, similarly to the global climate, from time to time, there has been still a need to make certain contribution to protect the land from desertification by creating more afforestation and lawn strips in the steppe regions.
Historically, it started seeding and planting wild seabucktorn in Mongolia, particularly in Uvs province since 1970.
Not only seabucktorn itself, the application to make various products with seabucktorn, export, to use it in other industries such as health, treatment and beauty has been increased. To plant seabucktorn for green neighborhood, by manufacturing seabucktorn, one of the berries with high-end quality, essential consumption and vitamins for nowadays human by cultivation and supplying to foreign and domestic markets, to make a livelihood income source for a certain subgroup of the society and to establish an exemplary factor under husbandry for enterprises, we started to plant the Altaiskaya and Elisabeta Elite sorts of Sea Bucktorn in the area of 100 hectares in 2006.
We have run our agricultural operation in an intensive way from year to year, having implemented agriculturally-appropriate habits successfully on the 100-hectare plantation and succeeded in getting verified by the International Verification Organization for the first time in Mongolia.
